I installed Fedora Core 5 on my PS3 a couple of months ago, then I the other day decided to check it back out. Problem is I forgot my login and password and the records of it was on a computer that was wiped due to viruses.

I have also tried to get back to my PS3 OS but I cannot do it the way the official site says it's to be done and I do not know why.

I have searched google up and down but cannot seem to find any topic with a similar problem so I am posting here.

Someone please tell me what I can do to. I am desperate for I am not the only one who uses the PS3. :(

Thank you for the link, but there still is a problem... The FAQ never tells me when to open a terminal and it seems the FAQ is talking about a computer, is it different if it's a PS3?

Sorry, I don't have one and couldn't give you any instructions beyond that. Since FC-5 is no longer supported and I've seen posts that say Fedora7 will run on a PS3, you might want to consider a fresh install instead.
