Been dealing with this for a few days after using Kyum rather than the default add remove software front end. Anyways, this is the output i'm recieving via command line.

[root@localhost ~]# yum install parted
Loading "installonlyn" plugin
Setting up Install Process
Parsing package install arguments
Error: Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for repository: livna

What version of fedora are you using? You might want to look at your repo list and see if your livna address got changed somehow (just enter the address into firefox and see if you can get there).

Fc5 is a version that is no longer supported. In that case I think that had a lot to do with the problem.

Did you enter the address into Firefox and see if you could reach it? You might also what to try:

yum clean all

I also had that problem I used Kyum to add this repo: http://livna-dl.reloumirrors.net/fedora/7/i386/
Remember to click "save" to save the repo list.
I then deleted the old livna link and it updated OK.
Hope this helps you.
