View Full Version : AAC encoding from Banshee - no audio

Hi,
I'm using Fedora 7 with the latest patches applied. I'm trying to rip/encode CDs using AAC @ 192 kbps from Banshee. The encoding process seems to be going fine, however, when I then try to playback the files they seem to be corrupt as banshee skips them and goes onto play other files (also AAC encoded but using ITunes on Windows). It therefore seems to me as something is wrong with AAC encoding as AAC playback of other files works fine and encoding using MP3 also works fine.

Any pointers as to what the issue could be?

Joe

Hi,
I'm starting to think this should not work in the first place. Can anyone confirm whether you manage to encode using aac? I read on some posts that only aac decoding is supported...but the posts were about a year old.
