Packages downloaded to desktop

But I can not install them. One is Java jre-6u1-linux-i586.rpm.bin or just .bin

I open terminal and do su - first.

In terminal I change to desktop and copy & paste:sh jre-6u1-linux-i586.bin and I get this:sh: jre-6u1-linux-i586.bin: No such file or directory

when u r in su -, the directory changes to the root directory..

try to: cd /home/URUSER/Desktop then, sh jre-6u1-linux-i586.bin

My Java plugin still doesn't work, but the advice you gave me was good. Not your fault.

I assume that you're trying to get the java plug-in to work in Firefox?
