try "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "+"

you can also drag windows around using "Alt" + "left mouse"

This doesn't flip you screen. It just sets the monitor to the highest resolution.

If it's just a matter of hitting the button that's off the screen, change the setting and use the keyboard shortcut. Not sure which dialog you're in; in the System: Administration: Display one you can hit OK with Alt+o and in the System: Preferences: Screen Resolution one you want Apply (Alt-a).

Hope this helps!

I have to moan, though: who would design a screen resolution adjusting dialog box that can't be entirely displayed on all the resolutions it can be used to set? Lack of foresight / testing there! Not used to this kind of thing in Linux land. :)
