View Full Version : Why Yum of Fedora 7 download/install i386 on x64 machine

I have an AMD X2 3800+, and I installed X64_86 Fedora 7 on it. But when I tried to update the system using Yum, I noticed that Yum dowloaded and installed some of the application with architecture is i386???
Here is the output of uname:

This is the standard behavior of 64bit installs.
