What app do we use to manage splash screens ?
I found this way cool splash screen called "Fingerprint" at gnome-look,
but I can't figure out how to install it...

Download the file to your desktop, then go to System->Administration->Login Screen. In the local tab there will be a list of splash screens to choose from. Drag the file you downloaded into this window or use the add button.

I just tried installing the fingerprint splash from gnome look and got an error message, so the file may be corrupt.

I got the same thing, but I forgot to read the directions (https://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=40914&group_id=187765)
They seem to be Debian specific, but still make sense. Looks like too much trouble for me when I'm still setting up my fresh F7 install.

[Login Screens] and [Splash Screens] are different, aren't they ?

My apologies, I looked it up on gnome-look and thought it was a login screen, but now I see its not. I have no idea how to do that in fedora.

If you install KSplash for KDE you get FingerPrint as a splash screen, but it doesn't show up in Gnome,
and I am partial to Gnome... ;-)

any way to add it to Gnome, maybe copy to some dir somewhere.... hhhhhoooooo
