how can i install mplayer on my laptop which is competable with fedora? :mad:

su -
rpm -Uhv http://rpm.livna.org/fedora-release-6.rpm
yum install mplayer*


Then you need to get the codec pack from here (http://www1.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/all-20061022.tar.bz2), and copy all the dlls to /usr/lib/win32.

Or just install vlc (from livna too, 'yum install vlc'), imho it's the best video player for linux

You can also compile it from source! Therefor just follow the instuctions in the README! (./configure --enable gui, make, make install

can i access my window hard disk while i am using fedora core 5 and vice versa?
