Hello together,

I have a OOo calc shortcut on my desktop. I right clicked it and selected the "open with..." dialog. I picked OOo calc and set a checkmark at "Remember aapl association for this type of file"...

Problem now is, that all shortcut open with OOo calc.....

How do I get back and where can I delete the file type association? When I open the "open with" dialog, I cannot leave it blank.....

Thanks for your help :-)

Try this: Right Click -> Properties -> Open With, then remove all the associations there.

I'm not sure it will work, I'm not willing to hork my associations to try, but let us know if it helps.

Not that dialog. Read and follow my directions as they are written: Right Click -> Properties -> Open With, NOT Right Click -> Open With Another Application...

thanks for your answer, but the dialog in KDE is different....

KDE Dialog (http://prucha.de/properties)

You then have to click the "tools" button and then you can remove the file association,

but thanks again :-)
