My new headphones are OK, but not perfect. I'm using XMMS, even though I have philosophical differences with any package that doesn't instantly add itself to my GNOME menu. I like Rhythmbox better for many reasons.

Has anyone added the EQ to their fedora Rhythmbox successfully?

The graphic EQ for rhythmbox is in development. There is a dev plugin (http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=76522) that looks snazzy. [The buzilla entry has an ogg movie at the bottom.] I downloaded the "Merging with current advancements --take 2 (http://bugzilla.gnome.org/attachment.cgi?id=83775)" patch, and I also have the SVN latest rythmbox source, but ... I don't know what to make of the patch. Is it something I feed to SVN or make? It seems to have configure information and at least one C file, for example:

PS Even if you don't, but you want the EQ in Rhythmbox, do post.. ... let's co-miser-ate.
