Hello, I am looking for a tool which will show me my folders and what disk they are attached to similar to MS Explorer in a simple to understand interface. I have looked at LVM and that is great but does not show where each actual folder is in relation to each physical HDD and how much HDD space is free. Something which displays a tree type structure.
Filebrowser shows the folders but not their actual location ie hda or hdb

Thanks in advance :)

You are thinking too much like Windows. In windows, each file system is tied to a disk drive. In Linux and Unix, it doesn't matter what hardware you have, you have single file system structure. You can add a hard drive and mount it anywhere in the tree. You can even use logical volumes and let the software stripe your data across multiple disks.

C: drive is gone. Get used to it. Who really cares what disk it's on? If you have the system partitioned properly, you will always know which folder is mounted on which disk just by typing:

mount
