View Full Version : Xfce and Yum

I want to install Xfce desktop to Fedora Core 6, preferable the new 4.4. version. Typing
" yum search xfce " I get a list containing about 70 programs.
There probably is a method to install all (?) of them with only some yum-calls.

Is "yum groupinstall xfce" the right command

yum groupinstall XFCE

Got the whole 4.4.0 xfce for me (note XFCE caps)

I also like to use the gnome modemlights applet, so then I did:
yum install xfce4-xfapplet-plugin

yum groupinstall XFCE

Works well, thank's :)

And thank's to Fedora that XFCE is easy to start because it was ready in the login panel after installing and rebooting. Could'nt be easier
