View Full Version : Strange beryl behavior

Here's one I can't figure out:

I launch beryl-manager and switch to beryl as the window manager. Everything seems to be fine for a few minutes. I launch windows, open a terminal, etc, etc. Then suddenly, any window that I opened after beryl was launched just simply disappears from the desktop. I go to beryl-manager and switch the desktop manager back to the KDE window manager. Once the desktop switch back to the KDE window manager, all those windows show up!!

I figured I would try this from the command line. I start beryl-manager from the command line, and get the usual beryl output. I switch to Beryl as the window manager, and all is well. After a few minutes all the windows disappear again, and this time the command line output shows something like:

"Disconnected from X server."

Or something similar (not in front of that machine at the moment).

This is very weird. I could see nothing in the xorg.log file. Anybody know how to fix this?

Nobody wants to take a crack at this one? Maybe just some ideas to try?
