I am a real Linux newbie, and I am haveing a problem with the screen resolution on my Fedora Machine. At the log-on screen, the res is fine (1024 X 768). When I log in, the res drops to 640X480, and i can't get it to go back up. I have an NVidia gforce 2MX 400 in the machine and X server did recognize it. Anyone know how to fix it?

Use CTRL+ALT+(+) or (-) on the numpad to cycle through the available resolutions.

Good Luck,
Dave

I've tried that, plus when I go to display, changing the res doesn't do anything

Your resolution is based on the monitor you selected. I guess the selected monitor, does not have the resolution you want.
So, change to another monitor or a generic monitor with a higher resolution.

I have my monitor set up through a switch, you think that could be the problem?

No I don't think the switch is the problem, I think it is the monitor you selected under the System settings->display menu.

Change the selected monitor to a monitor that has the resolution you want
