AMD Dual Core 64Bit 3800+2Gb RAM 300Gb Sata HDD etc etc
Fedora Core 6 Installed like a dream, and im a linux newbie so i was impressed with that.
The problem i have is that the mouse pointer sometimes disapears, if i reboot its back. very odd, any ideas?
also the screensavers are so jerky it looks like a cartoon flick book, ive got a Nvidia Ge6100. its has picked the card up ok but am i missing something.

Cheers
a humble newbie

Hello:
Make sure you update your fresh install as I believe the mouse behaviour was addressed in an early update.
Once your system is updated you should install the nVidia drivers .
They are available from the livna repo ... instructions are here:
http://www.fedorafaq.org/#nvidia

thanks, the nvidia download sorted the screesaver problem out.
i ran the software updates and am now current(as it where). But as soon as i get to the logon screen after bootup the mouse cursor disappears. i can still use the mouse but its all guess work as i cant see the curser

Hello:
You may want to try adding to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file
Under the Device Section
Option "HWCursor" "false"

Save, exit and Ctrl Alt Backspace to restart your Xserver and see if that helps.
