tho' i've installed xine i just want to know how to configure totem (gstreamer) on fc6 to use open gl as its engine. the multimedia selector works but uses x-window system (no xv).

if anyone knows does it make a difference with vid quality as opposed to using x(no xv)?

notes: i haven't found a totem_config or totem_conf anywhere as someone suggested for fc5

Hello:
You should find a totem_config in your /home/username/.gnome2
folder.
I have no idea what the difference in video quality is?

nope there's a totem file with the following content

[State]
window_w=649
window_h=461
show_sidebar=true
maximised=false
sidebar_w=200
sidebar_page=playlist

thats /home/[user]/.gnome2/totem
but there's no totem_config anywhere
i tried adding the video.driver:opengl to it anyhow but with no effect, i kinda knew it wouldn't since it only seems to keep window settings.
what are the differences between
x (no xv)
x (x11/xshm/xv)
and opengl?

The Multimedia Systems Selector is actually gstreamer-properties maybe i could change it from here but i don't know where it keeps it's config or even what config to use to enable opengl, does anyone know?

Hello:
I believe you need to have totem-xine installed to have the totem_config file present in /home/username/.gnome2
It's available from the livna repo.
