Hi all,

I have a stripped version of FC5, i use it for a special setup with radios. Any way i need to install perl and curses on it. I got perl installed but curses said that it isnt installed and needs it. I have tried all sorts of ways to get curses installed but no luck. Can any one help. Thanks

You need the perl-Curses module, which you can get at Fedora Extras (http://fedoraproject.org/extras/6/i386/repodata/repoview/perl-Curses-0-1.15-1.fc6.html) . If you have Extras in your list of yum repositories, you could do 'yum install perl-Curses'.

Ok tried to install, it downloaded but then gave this message after,

Parsing package install arguments
No Match for argument: perl-Curses
Nothing to do.

It is still not working.

Hello:
Download the package directly from here:
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/extras/5/i386/perl-Curses-1.13-3.fc5.i386.rpm
Then to install it
rpm -ivh packagename

barring any dependency issues you should be good to go.
