I'm currently tryng to install some drivers on my computer but I lack kernel interfaces and the defualt rpm program requires an internet conection (I'm posting from Mum's win 98 box).

What commands do I use to fix this problem?

Please help. Thanks.

You need to get the kernel-devel rpm for your particular kernel, put it on some sort of portable media, then copy it to your Fedora machine. Once there, install it as root with "rpm -ivh name_of_rpm". After that, you should be able to build your driver(s).

Would the rpm be included on the install DVD for FC5? or will I have to download of the net and if so how large is the file?

It should be on the DVD. It's about 4.5 megabytes.

Cheers. Just Umm... I went looking for the file and I kinda' need a label (sifting throught several hundred I didn't find it since it dosen't start with kernel).
If any one can say what I'ts called in FC5 that'll be great.

It's called kernel-devel-2.6.blah.blah_FC5.rpm.
