Hi all:

I have installed FC6 on a system with a 2GH AMD Processor 1GB Ram. All is working well, except when I open the browser (does not matter which, I have tried Firefox 1.5 and installed Opera 10) both start up fast but when requesting a web site it will take anywhere from 40sec to 70sec to retrevie information. I have check my network card settings, and they are running at 100/Full. I am using a Linksys router that supports that configuration. The router also shows that my connection is 100/full. If I pull up the same site on a window box it comes up in seconds.
Any thoughts?
Any help is appreciated.

I can relate it to DNS problems. Is your DNS settings obtained from provider or do you provide it manually?

open up a terminal and type cat resolve.conf
please post the output also ..That would be helpful

thanks for the reply.
I entered the command (cat resolve.conf) and received "no such file or directory"
i use dhcp to assign ip and dns. assigned by linksys router
the dns servers are the same as my windows system.
