Say I want to log onto an ssh server and use it as putty like in windows, what program can i download onto fedora core 5 to do so? I used to use my linux alot but have since forgotten the majority of the code.

erm...
you log on to an ssh server with the 'ssh' command...

edit:
sorry, realised that sounded rude. I just meant I am not sure I understand your question, but if I do, that's the answer.

it makes sense, i type ssh and then it gives me the syntax of the command but i am not getting anywhere
ssh username@hostsite

when I enter that command I get a blinking cursor on a blank line.

nevermind, I adjusted the terminal preferences and accessed what I was attempting to access.
