I have a dual boot system with Fedora 6 and WinXP. I am trying to access the NTFS partitions from Fedora. Installed FUSE and then ntfs-3g. There seems to be compatibility issues with message like cannot find GLIBC_2.3, libfuse, FUSE_2.6 etc. Then I tried to get kmod-ntfs but was unable to find the package either at sourceforge or at fedora extras. Yum reports
"Could not retrieve mirrorlist http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist?repo=core-6&arch=i386 error was
[Errno 4] IOError: <urlopen error (-2, 'Name or service not known')>
Error: Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: core"
Please Help.

for the kmod-ntfs driver you need the livna repo

you need a i686 kernel for most drivers to work

to check

rpm -qa --queryformat "%{NAME}-%{VERSION}-%{RELEASE}.%{ARCH}\n"|grep kernel|sort

and if its a i586

livna repo

su -
rpm -ivh http://rpm.livna.org/fedora/6/i386/...-6-1.noarch.rpm
