I have just installed Clamav from the Fedora Update/Remove Software. I have run it and it scanned 26 files and gave a report out. I tried /usr/bin/config but did not see anything about updating or options.
Where do I find general information on how to run the Fedora supported Clamav?
I would like to update the virus signature data and scan our complete machine. This is the first machine running Linux at our work and I know that a windows virus is on it now through E-Mail. Like JMan says, no sense in spreading things around.

Help would be greatly appreciated,

Kevin Tough

Kevin, I'm not in FC at the moment, but I did use Search to find these threads:

Hmmm... looks like there are 340 posts on 'clamav' so I'll stop here, but I'd use the Search box if those don't do it for you.

These are the commands I use:

freshclam

Update clamav

clamscan -r /

This will scan the entire computer. The -r is for recursive.

BTW, you need to remove the line

In your clamd.conf
