Dear All,
I'm using FC6 and just install the packages : " ntfs-3g, ntfs-3g-devel, ntfsprogs, ntfsprogs-devel, testdisk "
in order to use an external hard drive already formatted in ntfs (via windows).
Unfortunately I'm receiving the following error message when I switch on my external drive :
" Unable to mount the volume 'LaCie'. "
"fusermount: failed to open /dev/fuse: Permission denied FUSE mount point creation error: No such file or directory Unmounting /dev/sda1 (LaCie) "

Does anybody has a clue how to solve this matter ?

Thanks for your support.

In order to complete my post, i did an "fdisk -l" cmd and I got the following screen :
"
Disk /dev/hda: 30.0 GB, 30005821440 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 3648 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 * 1 13 104391 83 Linux
/dev/hda2 14 3648 29198137+ 8e Linux LVM

Disk /dev/sda: 250.0 GB, 250059350016 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 30401 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 * 1 30401 244196001 7 HPFS/NTFS"

At least I can see my /dev/sda1 in NTFS type.
And If i do the command "mount /dev/sda1", i get the following error message :
"mount: can't find /dev/sda1 in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab"

Does somebody has any clue how to solve my matter ???????
