Hello gentleman,
recently I updated Yum and after the update never worked again..;it crashes everytime you try to run it GUI mode or not.
the bug is the following :

Can you guys help me restoring it again...thanks in advance:
PS: in your comments have in mind that I'm not a Linux guru :D

Hello:
It looks as though you have installed
yum-versionlock
and it is causing an issue for you
try un-installing it
yum remove yum-versionlock
then yum clean all
and give yum a whirl again

Also, you want to check system-config-services and make sure that yum-updatesd is disabled as well.
