No Cursor......its there, but not visible!!!

I updated my FC6 using the gnome updater yesterday! When I rebooted my comp, the cursor simply vanished.........like its there.....when you move the cursor over an icon the icon glows, but its not visible!
I used to face this problem when I used to change session, but now even at startup it's not working.
When I start UT2004, I get a visible cursor , but I have problems moving the cursor, like it feel as the end of the screen is reached even it is somewhere in the between , it does not move beyond a point.
Any help would be appreciated........thnx!!

Hello:
Don't know if this will solve your issue or not, however, it may be worth a shot.
gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf
and add the option in the Device Section
Option "HWCursor" "false"

You should also check your /var/log/Xorg.0.log for any errors and or warnings. There may be some clues present?
