View Full Version : Xorg vs. VGA 5 BNC cable

10th January 2007, 07:44 PM

Well, I have been trying to start Xserver with the 5 BNC cable connected, without results. I mean Xserver starts but only at resolution of 800x600 and 60 Hz. However, when I change cable to a regular D-sub everything is fine. I also had tried to start Xserver first with D-sub cable, and then changed it to 5 BNC - and of course it works (1152x864 / 90Hz), but this is not a solution...

Does somebody know how to force Xserver to start and work correctly with the 5 BNC?

Some data: 5 BNC cable taken from Sony GDM-FW900 Monitor set, similar to this one (http://www.kramerelectronics.com/cables/item.asp?desc=12).
