Hello, I recently migrated from sendmail to postfix. Under sendmail, my mail went to /var/spool/mail/<username>. Where does the mail go to now with postfix?

I have gkrellm running, and the mail plugin points to the above mentioned directory, but I have deleted all my messages in my local mailbox but it yet shows me that I have 47 new messages.

THanks

Look in the /etc/postfix/main.cf .
It may be set to a subfolder in the /home/username
home_mailbox = Maildir/

You should be able to make that
home_mailbox = /var/spool/mail/user

Don't forget to reload or restart postfix after making changes.

OK, I did make the change in /etc/postfix/main.cf ... removed the reference to Maildir/ and let the mail default to /var/mail directory. I now see that the user mailbox file under /var/mail is growing in size, and with the current timestamp indicating that mail is being delivered there. However, when I go to http://localhost/webmail to read my mail, there is nothing in there. Earlier, with the Maildir/ setting, I could read my IMAP mail. Any suggestions on what I need to fix here?
