Just d/led a .zip file, tried opening it with gzip and got an error "no *.zip gz" found. I knew that! :(

What is used to work with plain old .zip files. GUI would be nice! and in RPM format. Sure ask for alot huh?

Thanx for any input

To extract an .zip file on the command line:

unzip file.zip -d dir

-d dir can be anything such as ~/zip

If you prefer a GUI frontend, try FileRoller:
Accessories -> File Roller
