Hi,

I have 2 fedora instaltion. One is FC2 and another one is FC6. All the user's information and password are store on FC2 machine under /etc/passwd with shadow enabled.

I want user who can login to FC2 also able to login to FC6 machine without recreate the account. Is there possible to do so with PAM? Or I have to use other ways? Please advice.

The services I allow user to use on FC6 machine are FTP, Telnet, X-Windows thru XDMCP, CVS.

Thank you very much.

Best Regards,

You need more than just PAM, you must set up either NIS+ or LDAP server on the FC2 system and the corresponding client on the FC6.
