Compiz works fine for me, but when it comes to playing video files (no matter if it's in VLC or Totem), the video area is just black. Help me :)

Another question too: The "Exposť"-like effect when moving the cursor to the upper right corner, is there a keyboard shortcut for this one?

Install Beryl.
yum install berylThen run:
beryl-managerThe red gem that shows up in your system tray should have a lot of customization options. At this point, beryl is way more advanced that the regular compiz that desktop effects initially rely on.

Thank you very much rappermas! Beryl is a fork of Compiz, right?

When I installed Beryl, I got the base KDE environment installed too? Is that really necessary? I prefer gnome instead of kde in all situations.

Edit: Beryl wasn't compatible with my graphics card.
