AutoGK kinda thing, but for Linux, even better if specially built for Fedora 6? Does AutoGK run fine under WINE? <- I know I can figure that one out myself, I am just being lazy. Fedora kicks butt, 1400 hits at Distrowatch does no justice at all.

Probably 'cause no ones heard of it, let alone tried to use it under Linux, lol.

Besides it's not like Linux is flush with complete, user friendly video editing solutions at this point, but at least it's being worked on.

http://www.exit1.org/dvdrip/ <-- requires transcode you can get it through Livna
http://fixounet.free.fr/avidemux/ <-- you can install with yum, but you get more features if you build it yourself and have all the codecs that it can handle.
http://lives.sourceforge.net/ <-- this ones pretty cool haven't had much time with it.

And if you're not against spending some money then here's where it's at:

But it's not on FC yet, hopefully soon.

never used autogk, but a quick look at their webpage would suggest ffmpeg as a command line tool and avidemux2 as a gui
