Once installed Fedora Core 6, how does one change the boot loader's options such as the default OS to boot. My default OS to boot used to be Windows XP. But once I auto-updated my FC6 kernel, now the default is that new FC6 kernel (default = Fedora Core 6).

HELP!

I only remember the manual edit method although there is a gui, I just never do it so I can't recall it.

Open a terminal program
Become root with "su -"
"gedit /boot/grub/grub.conf"

Now change the "default=#" to whatever number the default system that you want to boot is down the list. The first boot item is "0", so if the second system is the one that you want booted by default, pick a "1" for this setting. Save it and exit.

Now reboot and you should be fine.

To do it graphically, install the system-config-boot package from Core. It appears in the menu under System/Administration/Bootloader.
