i know it is weird, but...
is there someway to change or see the bios configuration while running fedora??

without reboot...

No. In every system I know of you need to reboot to change them.

Although I can see some uses if CMOS readers/writers were controllable by software.

Cool, I was going to tell him that but I wasn't 100% sure.

My Asus motherboard included some utilities with which you can supposedly make some changes that can only be made in the BIOS but as you may have guessed they don't work well and tend to crash the machine.
