Well now I know that can't be right b/c I've got bittorent 4.4.0 installed and some trackers are refusing to let me connect until I upgrade to bittorent 5.

So I download it from bittorent.com

[root@zelas tmp]# rpm -U BitTorrent-5.0.1-1-Python2.4.noarch.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:

[root@zelas tmp]# yum install python-twisted python-zopeinterface

Now what?!? there is a python-twisted package installed buty it's 1.x. There is no python-zopeinterface installed. A brief googling doesn't turn up much of interest. rpmfind.net has the 1.x for the twisted package.

What have other people done to get the most recent version of bittorent working?

Thanks

no, it's still 4.4.0 in all of FC.

I'm beginning to think that FC Extras idea of bleeding edge is to out pace Debian by a week, :)

get azureus, and java from sun, install java as per instructions on their site.
Also you must add the java directory to the azureus file, located in the azureus directory. Open it with a text editor and add the sun java directory path there.
