View Full Version : Puplet doesn't work

22nd November 2006, 12:48 PM
I have just installed Fedora Core 6, and for some reason, puplet doesn't work. There is no notification of updates at all.

If I issue

ps -A | grep puplet

I can see the process is running. If I kill the process, and start puplet manually from a terminal, get the following:

[smjor@nord ~]$ puplet
Introspect error: A security policy in place prevents this sender from sending this message to this recipient, see message bus configuration file (rejected message had interface "org.freedesktop.DBus.Introspectable" member "Introspect" error name "(unset)" destination "edu.duke.linux.yum")
Unable to connect to yum-updatesd. Please ensure that the yum-updatesd
package is installed and that the service is running.

yum-updatesd and dbus are running. Disabling SElinux doesn't help.

Yum itself work fine, as do piru. Please help, this is driving me utterly crazy!
