View Full Version : Login screen configurator does nothing in FC6

I need to configure the login screen to enable XDMCP connections but when I choose šLogin Screenš from the System menu in KDE it asks for the root password and then does absolutely nothing. Why is this? Could it have something to do with the fact that I ran the installation in text mode? Is it a run level issue?

Thanks,

KP

use gdmsetup instead.

When I run gdmsetup I get:

# gdmsetup
Failed to connect to socket, sleep 1 second and retry
Trying failed command again. Try 2 of 5.

Command failed 5 times, aborting.
Could not access GDM configuration file.

Maybe this is a pointer to the problem? Any ideas?
