I have odd sound problems with mplayer...

I have mplayer and mplayerplug-in installed and when I open video with firefox plugin sound is horrible high noise and same happens with mp3/avi files opened from computer. but if I open DVD sound is ok...!?!

I have now used xine and xmms and mp3/avi sounds are ok but I need that mplayerplug-in to work to see web videos.

I have allways used mplayerplug-in so is there "better" plugin to firefox to view all video in web?

thanks

Go here:

Install the rpm provided.
That solved the problem for me.

If you update your system the problem reappears, and you have to reinstall the rpm.
I have found that the problem is related to freshrpm mplayer and plugin, if you use livna repo the problem disapears.
I have disabled freshrpms and dries and enabled livna, yum update and no problem.
