hi i am new to this forum(sign in 2d), but i have learned a lot of things
i am not new to linux because i used linuxXP,mandriva,SuSE10.1,RedHat(in skul), fedora 4 and now 5. I am downloading the fedora 6 now.
i have ecountered the locoalhost login problem
when fedora boots up, the localhost appears and either username as root and then enter "gdm" or i enter zm(simple user) as username and then type "startx"
then my desktop appears.
my problem is that, do i always have to do like this?
i want that the "logon manager" ,i.e, the gdm to appear ane ask for username directly.
i used fedora 5 about 3-4months back on my pc but i removed it. but i didn't encounter this problem
now i have installed fedaora 5 on the same pc with no harware changes, so y is this happenning???
please help me
thnx in advance
