Hey guys,

I just installed FC6 over my FC4 copy. I'm using it as a mail server. FC4 ran great and all but i wanted the latest and greatest...

Unfortunately, i ran into a problem with uw-imap. It seems that it no longer creates a mail directory under the username home dir. This is a problem for since all of my user have there filters and folders under mail. Now, they are all scattered around under the home dir and not to mentioned that their filters.

I went to the uw-image page (http://www.washington.edu/imap/) http://www.washington.edu/imap/documentation/BUILD.html and I figured out that you need to change some var:

static char *mailsubdir = NIL; /* mail subdirectory name */
to be:
static char *mailsubdir = "mail";/* mail subdirectory name */

Now this would be great, if i was installing manually... but i'm using yum.

I would like, on this new install of FC, to use only rpms as using multiple types of installs can be a pain in the... well you get the point.

Anyway, here is my question...

How can i rebuild an rpm that's already been installed using yum? I've been looking all over the place where yum downloads the file and configures and installs it... or is it being deleted after it installs?

Also, if i can rebuild it, how can i edit the configuration?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thx
