First off, I just installed FC6 and have a concern about sizes.

I use a laptop that runs at 1400 resolution, but anything over 1024 is to small for me to see what i'm doing. In Windows XP I can up the dpi and that works. Whats the method for that in Fedora? I see whre to change font sizes, but I doubt that helps on every menu etc and in firefox and such and icon sizes

I found the answer and it was in two steps.
Go to root and then choose display. It will show you your screen type and of course the resolution. Choose a different monitor, which will pop down a list of resolutions associated with it. And then chose the 102 x 768

In the user logon, go to display and then to advanced settings. On the top left, there is a field for font size in pixels. I use about 95 as a setting. Try it up or down by 5 from there.

The third option that I took was to buy a used 21 inch monitor. I had the deskspace, so reading 1024 by 768 is eyestrainless.

Whenever I change the resolution everything on the screen seems very blurry
