OK,
So I have searched the posts and there were only a few related comments on this issue. Being a newbie, I am really in the dark.

PHP is installed with Fedora 5 on my system.

I configured Apache myself using standard method (if there is a such thing as standard).

Apache works. PHP does not parse, but instead Mozilla says "you are opening a PHP script, what would you like to do?" when I try to run a simple phpinfo.php script.

So I believe the issue is that the PHP module is not being loaded correctly within APACHE.

I have this line of code in the Apache httpd file:
LoadModule php5_module /usr/lib/httpd/modules/libphp5.so

Any ideas how to solve my confusion? What could the problem be?

Thanks!

I'd use RPMS. If you installed from source, uninstall php & apache then run:

yum install httpd mod_ssl php
