View Full Version : VLC is acting weird.

I'm a newbie to Fedora (but not to Linux). I know that getting multimedia stuff to work in Linux can be a bear sometimes, but I am having a really strange problem with VLC.

I successfully installed VLC along with all of its required codecs (I think). But when I try to play any video files, X locks up and I have to give the system a hard reboot. It would seem that both VLC and the file load (I don't get any messages that I'm attempting to open a file with an incompatible format). Also, otherwise graphics seem to work just fine. Does anyone know what could be causing this and what I could change to fix it??

Thanks a lot.
