Hi,

I've recently upgraded to FC6 by doing a fresh installation. I use to use Real Producer on FC4 but for some strange reason FC6 won't let me install it. Here's the error message:

[jonathan@peter Desktop]$ sudo ./realproducer_basic_11_linux_setup.sh

I'm having exactly the same problem. It also doesn't seem to make any difference where you try to install it to.

Ok, I got the helix producer 11 to work. You do need to join the helix community, agree to the eula, then download the command line version. After that, you need to decompress the tgz and place the resulting folder in your path.

Here's the download (https://helix-producer.helixcommunity.org/downloads) page.

Anybody have a linux gui for this thing? Been looking, found lots of windows guis, but no linux ones yet. Then again I am so tired right now I can barely see.

Thanks for that. Will have a look at Helix Player.

I have now got real producer working. I did this by getting a friend to install it on an old edition of Fedora (he's still using old versions!!) - and getting him to e-mail me the folder with all the real producer gubbins in which I then copied to /usr/share/

Works a treat now.

If you like - I could forward you the attachment with all the real producer stuff in. - I'm registered as JonathanRobinson on Fedora Wiki if you'd like to put it in a private message.
