Hello,

after update I had problems with start session via gdm. But I can use rescue mode and start gnome-session via them. I found so "su" is broken and finish SIGSEGV. I am not able do strace, because via strace I am not able put correct password. "su" from root to anybody works well.

Thank you for any help

man su

you need a <space dash> after the su to provide the root environment and paths, otherwise root is using your user environment.

su -logon root
If user is not supplied root is assumed.
can be shortened from su -Logon to
su -

it's broken too :-(

[pavel@localhost ~]$ su -

Neoprávněný přístup do paměti (SIGSEGV)
[pavel@localhost ~]$

try in a tty
Ctrl_Alt-F3
logon as root
rootpassword

If you can get in do
cd /var/log
dir
cat yum.log | more
to see the updated packages

Look for gnome-terminal
or gdm
or
rhgb

If present try to start the text based web interface or wget
and go to fedora repro and get the older rpm that worked and download and install as
rpm -Uvh rpmname --oldpackage

arepeat as needed.
