I have installed the planetccrma preempted kernels and since no livna rpm is available for the nvidia graphics kernel module I have downloaded the nvidia installer and the corresponding kernel-devel rpms.

Installation of the nvidia script works perfectly, and the driver loads fine when I return to init 5. After a reboot into the same klernel, however, the nvidia kmod is not found and so not loaded!?

How can I make the kmod installation persistent?

I have found the solution to my problem:

I still had the nvidia-kmod package installed for another kernel. It appears that this rpm takes precedence over the manually installed script. Once I uninstalled the rpm, the script install was available after reboot.
