Hello:
Don't think there is any real difference other than that is how they opted to name them.
This first started to appear in FC6 test / rawhide.
It might be related to going from kernel 2.6.17 to 2.6.18 .. but dunno?
I could be wrong and if so, I am sure someone will provide more information.

Hello Seve,

I was thinking it had to do with official verses in test releases. Thanks for pointing out were it was showing up. I updated my core to the fc5 version and it wiped out my nvidia graphic stuff, 2 weeks ago. But is see that the freshrpms has repackaged it for the fc5 a little while ago.
How's the weather? San Diego's nice.

Thanks

Hello:
Yes, I can imagine San Diego is very nice. :)
Spent some time on Coronado and it was always 73 ...no need for a weather man there, every day is sunny and 73 with cool ocean breezes and of course the odd military practice flight. :)

Here at the moment is very cool, very wet and very windy.
