Look for dovecot or cyrus or uw-imap. If none are installed, yum install dovecot (probably the easiest). Not sure about cyrus. There are a lot of cyrus packages including imap. I'm not sure of the syntax but try yum install cyrus-imap or try yum search cyrus (maybe cirus(?)). uw imap "used" to be a favorite of a friend of mine. He switched to cyrus and I believe now is using dovecot.

I'm running dovecot and had to do nothing (that I can recall) to get it running but I guess it depends on what you are going to do with it. I'm only using it to import(?) local mail to Thunderbird.

If that is an error from a php application, install the php-imap package.
