Notice that the trash bin in GNOME is not automatically updated when some file is moved into it. Anyone seen the same problem?

After I did a 'dmesg | grep inotify', I realized the inotify module might be missing in FC6.

Any comments?

Forgot to mention that my home directory is at some NFS server. So if inotify does not has to do with NFS, then it must be the CacheFS playing naughty.

Same here. dmesg | grep inotify turned up no module. A find / -name inotify didn't find it either so I'm pretty shure it is not installed on my system.

Done that it's stil not on the system. I'll think I'm going to do a yum -y whatprovides inotify and then install the packages. As long as it is not in the kernel packages because I've that notorious i568 i686 "bug"

PS It is, I'll think i'll have to do some smart tricks. Like an upgrade from FC-5

It seems have to do with NFS. Since I have know someone else have file change notification working on a single computer system with Ext3.
