Is this something to do with the xen enabled linux?

Thank,

I think the kernel-xen-2.6.18-1-2798..fc6.i686.rpm is for the guest.
and kernel-PAE-2.6.18-1-2798..fc6.i686.rpm is the host (unless the regular kernel is ok if your cpu is PAE flagged, cat /proc/cpuinfo)

Did you get your system going with the regular kernel (first), and make the environment xenified?

list your /boot/grub/menu.lst file (along wit your hardware specs) and maybe someone can find something.

Are you running SELinux on the host?

Did you yum update from updates-testing?

This was a fresh install, the VM support. Didn't release that it would install just the VM kernel. Go figure. Just updates from the normal repositories.

SElinux wasset to enforced.

I would love to provide a bunch of information, but I trashed the kernel when I unintalled the VM support. Didn't release I had removed the only kernel installed. Silly me.

Any way. I am reinstalling with the no VM support. And report if there is a problem. I was just interested in XEN to see if I could get Windows XP running under it.

It is an Intell e6700. I hasn't set up any XEN configuration yet. So this was right out of the box.

Just start a fresh install, should be done in 20 minutes for so. I am going to have to learn more about the rescue functionality. Maybe I could have just rpmed the Kernel.

Thanks,
K

A little late response, but the 4gb messages are produced by beagled, which is a file-crawling search program written in mono. I have no idea why this rogue experimental toy was included in fc6, quality control is obviously majorly lacking.

/etc/xdg contains stuff read by the gnome menu bar.
nuke/destroy/blow-up/wack/delete/remove/kill/end/strip out /etc/xdg/autostart/beagle.desktop, or else change line inside it to:
X-GNOME-Autostart-enabled=false

Better late than never. :)
I determined it sorta, kinda it was beagle but it only occurs with the xen kernel booted.
I am a mm away from removing beagle from everything. :)
The xen kerenl is locks up after about 30 minutes and the default bridge setup clobbered the etho / MAC adress so it will not let the dom0 access the net to read the notes, let alone do a guest install.

BTW: I had the kernel switch around in the post above. But the xen-3.0.3 install is takes care of it correctly.
xen = dom0 not guest.
guest (may?) need PAE.

So in summary, i want to run xen, print, share files, browse.
None of those work on FC6. Go figure?
