Can anyone help me solve this problem?
Fedora 4 on RAID 1 on Dell PE 750 server.
The server won't boot. :(
Error below:

sda : assuming drive cache : write through

exec of init (/bin/init)failed!!!:2
Kernel panic - not syncing : Attempted to kill init

I'm quite new to Linux.

Thanks in advance!

I think we need more information. Was this server formely working OK? Is this the type of raid array with indicator lights for each hard drive ? If so, is each drive working?

If you can manage to access it, can you post the output of
/sbin/fdisk -l (That's a lowercase "L" there, not a 1) from a LiveCD and also your /boot/grub/grub.conf file? That way we can tell if something's really wrong or if it's just a misconfiguration.

We manage to find the problem. The whole /lib directory was gone.
Thanks for replying.
